Officials discussed the energy infrastructure in Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova in the context of the consequences of Russian attacks, which have caused power outages, including in several localities in our country.
"Volodymyr Zelensky and Alexandru Munteanu discussed the response to threats coming from Russia and the strengthening of bilateral cooperation in the energy sector," the Ministry of Energy's press release reads.

The parties emphasized the need to synchronize their grids, strengthen balancing capacities, and sign an agreement on cross-border electricity flows and emergency support mechanisms.
At the same time, the parties reiterated the interest in developing joint infrastructure projects, including the 330 kV Bălți – Dnestrovsk overhead power line.
