Egyptian Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy Mahmoud Esmat had talks with Liu Zhenya, the Chairman of the Global Energy Interconnection Development and Cooperation Organization (GEIDCO), on means of expanding global power interconnection projects to meet electricity demand through clean energy sources, while aligning with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.

During the meeting, they explored ways to enhance cooperation and partnership in optimizing renewable energy use, improving energy efficiency, and supporting electricity interconnection projects.
