Recently, at the “China Corner” event of the 30th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP30) held in Belem, Brazil, China Southern Power Grid Co., Ltd. officially released the Chinese and English versions of the “China Southern Power Grid Company Ecological Enterprise Report”, systematically showcasing the innovative practices and international cooperation achievements of Chinese energy enterprises in the global energy transition, providing a reference for the sustainable development of large global energy enterprises. This action is not only a concrete manifestation of China’s implementation of the “dual carbon” goals, but also a microcosm of China’s promotion of global climate governance through policy support and technology sharing.

Efficient resource allocation capability is the core advantage of China Southern Power Grid in supporting the global energy transition. By 2025, the installed capacity of new energy in the operating area of China Southern Power Grid will exceed 260 million kilowatts, with non-fossil energy accounting for 68% of the total installed capacity, making clean power the dominant source of regional electricity supply.

China’s first “electricity-carbon meter” is in trial operation in Dongguan, Guangdong, accurately linking electricity consumption and carbon emission data. The “electricity-carbon operation service” platform built in Shenzhen has been adopted as a reference by multiple international cities for its multi-level carbon monitoring methodology.
