The Commonwealth is a voluntary association of 56 independent and equal countries. It is home to 2.7 billion people, and includes both advanced economies and developing countries. 33 of our members are small states, including many island nations.

At a time of limited fiscal space, increasing debt, and dwindling development funding, the surge in demand for critical minerals could be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to accelerate socio-economic development across the Commonwealth. Many Commonwealth member countries have vast critical mineral resources, presenting significant opportunities for trade, investment, and industrialization.
